When teaching students to read, we use a multi-modal approach. Along with traditional approaches, and using the super-engaging LetterLand curriculum, our students use classroom computers for various software programs during literacy centers time. Here a first grader is using Lexia software in a classroom reading center.

Students participated in the 3rd Annual Environmental Art Contest, sponsored by NH Plastic Pollution Alliance, Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation and Surfrider Foundation, New Hampshire Chapter! This contest was designed to encourage children to think about how issues such as plastic pollution impact the environment around them and what they can do to decrease this pollution on in everyday life.

Certificates are being awarded to students modeling outstanding examples of behavior that is Respectful, Safe & Kind.  Students then get to have the certificates stamped in the office and decorate a paw print that will be displayed in the gym.  Once the goal of covering the whole paw is reached,

First grade enjoyed an ornament making workshop on Tuesday. The students visited each of the four classrooms for a different holiday project. The ornaments were all made with simple classroom and household items to reinforce the importance of reusing and recycling!
