We had an amazing month filled with literacy-based activities to celebrate reading. http://www.readaloud.org/ The students were either reading to their “reading buddies” or with Boone, the therapy dog. They also had the opportunity to “rock and read” in the library. We also tracked how many books the students read throughout the week on a United States map. Last night was PTO Family Reading Night. Celebrity readers and several activities were planned to celebrate literacy. We ended the month with Comfy Cozy Day. The students enjoyed having time to relax and read in their pajamas at school.
