We had our first Nature’s Workshop today! The kids were involved in a variety of science-based lessons and activities planned by the teaching staff. The lessons were connected to Next Generation Science Standards with a focus on Life Sciences. The activities included Tree Cookies, Leaf Prints/Rubbings, Seed Transportation, Bulb Dissection and Planting, and a Forest Walk to learn about the parts and function of trees and plants. It was a great day for everyone with lots of hands-on learning. Thanks to the teachers for their work and the parent volunteers for assisting the students throughout the day. Also, a special thanks to Lauren Mann and Marcia de Steuben for their coordinating efforts.
